Christmas Crates – Help Us Make a Difference

Today whee are doing a slightly different post. With all the negativity in the world recently whee would like to ask you to please consider joining us in doing something positive, in the spirit of Christmas giving.

It’s called “Christmas Crates” and you can read more about it here.

Essentially it is a reversed advent calendar. Instead of opening a door and getting something every day of advent, you put something in a box instead for a charity or cause of your choice. This time of year is a difficult time for anyone, animal or hooman, that needs a charity to help them survive and get by. So whee would like to ask you to pledge (using the link here) to make a Christmas Crate of your own for a charity or a cause local to you and/or close to your heart.

You could collect blankets, food, bedding, and toys for a animal shelter.

You could collect cans, packets and non perishable foods for a local food bank.

You could collect coats, gloves, socks, hats and unopened toiletries for a homeless charity.

It can be for any worthy cause you can think of. Simply find out what they are looking for and put it in the crate every day of December to donate on Christmas Eve. You can do it at home with your family, with a team at your place of work, at a local church or club. Anywhere where people want to come together to help others.

Whee really hope you will all join us in doing this. Even if you cannot get involved yourself, please share this to let others know about it.

Don’t forget to “pledge” your crate on the link above to show you are going to be doing it and who you’re doing it for.

Thank you, and our post will be back to normal tomorrow!

Naughty Nacho!

So if you have our Mummy on Facebook you may have heard about this already but in case you haven’t I’m here to be a tattle tale! (It’s normally me making mischief so this makes a nice change!)

A week or so ago Mummy decided to do a big tidy up and this included washing all our toys and beds. Unfortunately someone had eaten the washing instruction tags off every single one of them 😅

Nacho certainly acted guilty when she questioned us on this!

Have you been caught out after doing something naughty recently? How do you trick those hoomans into forgiving you quickly? Do you do the cute embarrassed look like Nacho?
Hope you’re having a good wheek!

A sad update

Dear furfriends

It is my very sad duty to inform you of the passing of two of our beloved hutch residents.

Basil passed in late July after a short bout of illness which began with excessive drinking. At the vet they discovered a small lump on his neck and a UTI. The specialist we were then referred to recommended surgery to remove the lump which we went ahead with. Sadly Basil did not recover well afterwards and passed away, two days later in my arms.
In September our gorgeous Buddy also passed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was quiet after losing his best friend and we were in the process of discussing getting him a companion. However we came down one morning to find him quieter than usual. The little hoomans helped monitor him throughout the day but he did not improve with hand feeding and I rushed him to the vets that evening. He was given fluid injections under the skin but they weren’t sure what was wrong. Despite being fed every three hours through the night he passed away in the early hours of the following morning.

I’m so sorry I cannot bring happier news. I am however looking to start blogging again this week so felt I needed to update you first.
Nacho and Noah are happy and well with plenty of stories to share with you soon.

I hope you have all been well and any news you can share about the time we have missed with you all is not as sad as my own.
