Thankful Thursday – Cameras and Crazies
Well it’s Thursday again and that day when whee all have to be thankful for something. Today whee are thankful for something a little odd. It’s something Mummy has nicknamed ‘the crazies’.
Whee all seem to get it at about the time the hoomans go to have their dinner, just after whee have gone back to our cages from cuddles and floor time. It’s starts with a little squeak and a popcorn (a bouncing thing piggies do). Then a dash round the veggie bowl. Then whee get the complete ‘crazies’ and play chase and squeak and dash about popcorning and flicking hay and bedding efurrywhere.
This whole spectacle lasts under two or three minutes but always makes the hoomans laugh. Mummy says it’s nice to see how happy and healthy whee are to do that.
What are you thankful for? Is it something new your hoomans got you or something you have learned to do?
The next thing whee want to mention is cameras. After many years of faithful service it seems that Mummy’s camera is giving up the ghost. She is more than a little upset because she has been told it can’t be mended, it’s just worn out. So she is currently in the market for a new camera! Does anyfurry have some good recommendations? She hasn’t really got an idea of a budget yet but knows she loves Canon cameras the most. Do your hoomans love their cameras?

Sorry to hear about the dying camera. Canon are great to use, as are Olympus. So many out there – really depends on what you need it to do.
Mummy looked in a shop and was completely overwhelmed so she trying to get personal recommendations instead!

I think your little “crazy time” is cute…….I get just a bit crazy early mornings when Mom comes downstairs and I see her for the first time since she went to bed the night before. I run around the living room and throw toys in the air or pull my tissue pile around…..it’s GOOD to get excited once in a while! Sorry your Mum’s camera died – My Mom’s digital is several years old but still working very nicely – it’s a Nikon Coolpix 3100 and came with great photoediting software too. I’m sure there’s lots of NEWER models out there and they aren’t as expensive as they used to be so GOOD LUCK TO YOUR MUM!!

I would love your crazies too guys hahaha 🙂 I love my canon 3100 like a family member..never misses a beat 🙂 there are so many now it’s hard to choose..sorry mums has gone to the camera heaveny place 😦 today we are thankful that we still have power for the fans..since so many houses have had to have power cut..so that’s my extreme thankful hugs Fozziemum xxxx
Canons are such great cameras. Whee are glad you still have power and whee hope you stay safe and cool. It’s so odd to be sitting here snuggled by the fire with the hooman listening to the rain and know that it’s very different where you are!

Mom loves her Nikon D3100, but it is a few years old. We are Nikon fans.
The latest Nikon Coolpix is on Mummy’s shortlist but she wants to stay loyal to her beloved Canon!

To buy a new cam is an annoying thingy, no cam is as good as the old. Think even cams are family members :o)
Mummy says the same thing! She’s not quite sure what to do now! She said she feels she is betraying the old camera by getting a new one! Silly hooman!

That’s what I thought too. I bought a new one what’s smaller and more handy, but I’m back to my canon eos now :o)
About that same time of day, I have crazy time too! My humans call it “puppy hour.” I run to my toy basket and start pulling out toys and running around like I’ve lost my mind. It’s great, and I think my humans are very thankful to see how happy I am.
The hoomans are always thankful to know that us pets are happy and healthy even if making a mess is how whee prove it!

That does sound like it would make me laugh too. Popcorning…ha! Petals does that move if I ignore her and she wants treats.
I have a little Canon S110. It doesn’t have much zoom but is the best little camera for super clear hand held close-ups. Which I wanted to film scrapbook projects. It’s also Wi-fi capable. I’m very happy with it.
Canons are such a great make! Mummy is looking into all the possibilities at the moment and feeling a little overwhelmed!!

We are thankful for all of our friends. Get a camera that has instructions. Mom has one that causes her to curse all of the time. It did not come with instructions and she is clueless- It is aFuji Finepix Av. It does take nice pictures when it takes pictures.
Oh dear, sometimes the hoomans need those silly squiggles to tell them what to do, don’t they!

We have Samsung cameras and have had good luck with anything Samsung. Quality made in Korea.
Mummy’s phone is Samsung, she had no idea they make cameras too! Even more possibilities now!

You boys are so silly. Mom is right to smile about your antics. Fun = healthy. I sometimes lose my mind and start running in circles while Mom holds onto my leash and spins in circles till she’s dizzy.

Daddy has a nikon slr thingy which is really good, especially for action shots.
Gotta love those 5 minutes of craziness:-)
Mummy is definitely considering an SLR as an ‘upgrade’ from what she’s had before but choosing something with all the options there are is tough!

I use a Sony. It’s the size and feature that are great. My camera is 5 years old and I’ve never had a problem.
Mummy’s first camera was a Kodak and despite surviving to Australia and back it died after only two years. Mummy current Canon which has just died was just into it’s sixth year so it has lasted well.

I loved it when our Romeo would “popcorn” as you call it. Happiness!! As for cameras, Canon is my preference too but it all depends on what you’re using it for. While I’d like a big SLR it’s a little expensive for my budget, and you can get some decent shots with a point-and-shoot type that has tiptop features (like 16megapixels and 15x optical zoom).
Very true, It’s such a big decision!
