On a more serious note, Reason #1 why I love guinea pigs: I can (to some extent) control where they are — what they can chew, where they can shed, etc. I was downstairs last week and made the mistake of sitting on the futon. I sat there for maybe 20 minutes, but when I got up my hair smelled so strongly of the stinky papillion who often sleeps there, I needed to take a shower.
I’ve had guinea pigs who were so destructive they would have been deemed unadoptable as a cat or dog.
Hopefully you’ll mellow on the chewing thing with age little dude, but Mummy should know better by now than to trust you. You’re like the king of nomming.
