Getting To Know You – A First Date Story

Well, if you follow us on twitter you will have seen the very exciting tweet whee gave earlier today. Nutty has a new little furfriend. The lucky fella is eight wheek old Nacho so please give him a big blogosphere welcome!

Whee were very nervous during their first meet up as they had to work out who was boss and Nacho is no push over. This little guy has a BIG personality. Now whee couldn’t keep this first date all to ourselves so Mummy filmed it for us to share with you and whee made a little video for you to enjoy!

Nutty is already a lot happier and eating and drinking for himself! As his weight is still down, Mummy is going to keep feeding him till he gets his strength up but the improvement is incredible. If anyone is in any doubt over whether or not their single piggy needs a friend they need to see this. Nutty is a new piggy! Nacho will never replace Nibbles but he has a big personality and is worming his way into efurryones hearts.

    It’s never the same. It’s always different. It’s better than being alone and I don’t play favo(u)rites with Kaci and Kenzie. I went through this in October and Kaci has really helped.

    Frederick, Sophie, Harville, and Benwick want to know when little Nacho’s birthday is, because they are all about the same age. They send their greetings to your baby pig friend and to the big pigs too.

    Wentworth says: “Hello!”

    Annie wants to know where you keep the veggies (ignore Annie).

        Ah, my set’s the 8th, so slightly older. I still can’t get over how you look like a missing brother to my set, but silver. Sophie says that’s just silly, she doesn’t need more brothers, but that you seem like a nice pig just the same.

        My hoomans say I am the oddest shade of agouti they’ve ever seen. Basil is grey agouti and Nutty is cinnamon but I’m a silver brown shade which looks almost sandy but very pretty!

        I think it’s because you also have the dilution gene for blonde. I’d be interested to see your siblings, sir. HILARIOUSLY, Annie’s babies’ coloring turned out to be the textbook diagram of dominant/recessive with exactly 25% agouti, just like you’d expect. What I’m wondering is if you have two copies of the agouti dilution gene (silver agoutis like Basil do) or one copy (like golden agoutis Nutty, Annie, and Harville). You also look like you have a crested rosette in your family but didn’t get it (Benwick is the only boy in our herd without a hairdo, but he has so much white he looks like he’s wearing a powdered wig).

        My Father is a silver agouti and white and my mother is a sandy self coloured piggy. My siblings are all sandy selfs except for one sister like me but with pink eyes, more white and a crest which makes her look like she is permanently frowning!

        It’s very interesting how whee have turned out as I know some piggies look nothing like their parents!

        My sister had one litter where she got four golden agouti abbys (daddy was silver agouti American Short-hair) with various degrees of colorful (as mama was a black/cinnamon/white abby)…except for one sister who was an American Satin black self.

        Eleanor, her son Wentworth, and grandson Harville all have a face shape that makes them look like they are permanently smiling (well Eleanor used to look like that anyway…when she was alive).

        Your sibs sound cute little dude. Sorry it’s so hot.

        Well SOMEBODY has to do it! You, like my boys, are in the “Look what I can do!” stage. I’m only sorry I don’t have my niece’s foam blocks to build cities and castles for pigs to destroy like Pigzilla.

    Oh Nacho is so adorable and it really does look like Nutty likes him just fine! They’ll be good buddies in no time and we’re happy to hear Nutty’s eating again and MUCH happier. Nacho is a grand addition to the Hutch Boys!

    Nacho, you are absolutely adorable and you are going to provide such wonderful friendship for Nutty. Mom says you two did a much better job of accepting each other than we would if she brought in a new kitty for us. She wouldn’t bring in a new kitty, would she??? That new kitty would take our toys and our food. Wait, we were supposed to be talking about you and how happy we are that you found each other. 🙂
