Room In Your Heart?

Buddy with Mummy’s book!

Finally whee are able to tell you all about Mummy’s first book, which is now available. Room In Your Heart is a collection of short stories about animals in rescues. How they ended up there and how they found their happy ever afters.

You can get it from here –http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/AmyAngelsAnimals

It also has some poems our Mummy wrote about why people should rescue, from the point of view of the animal. This is one of them from a doggie. It is called Time. Whee hope you like it and you will buy Mummy’s book!

Now it’s finished she might have more time to work on our story!

Time

Once upon a time I was lonely,

My limbs heavy as lead,

I lay on streets; cold and wet,

No place to rest my head.

They said ‘time’ was the problem,

Twas ‘time’ that made me sad,

Twas the lack of it to train me,

That meant I did things that were bad.

There was not time to feed me,

There was not time to go out,

The time I waited to relieve myself,

If in the wrong place, they would shout.

Time meant they couldn’t play anymore,

Time meant hunger and pain,

Time meant that they would leave me,

And life would never be the same…

(The above is an extract of the poem, for the rest of it you will need to buy the book!)

  1. Please give my congratulations to your mummy for me! Are you getting lots of fresh vegetables to celebrate? The poem is very touching.

  2. Such exciting news! Mom already ordered a copy. We LOVE reading about rescue pets. They’re Mom’s favorite – exhibit A – ME!

    Love and licks and congratulations,
    Cupcake

  3. So guys…your Mum is totally amazing as I am sure your all know. A book…more than most of us can lay acclaim to an such an early age…brilliant…look forward to reading it…I say “extra rations of fave veggies for efurryone!”

  4. Congratulations and I hope it sells lots of copies so that more people find their pets from rescue homes.

  5. How exciting! Congratulations!! Rescue is a great subject, and the excerpt from the Time poem is lovely.

  6. I am so proud of Mummy!!!! I want all your furry little face to nuzzle into Mummy’s neck and give her congratulations hugs!! Give her one from me too!! 🙂 XOXOXO

  7. Oh Guys you have such a very talented Mummy! I know you are VERY proud of her and we love the excerpt from “Time” very much. It makes a good point because often that’s the excuse people give for not opening their hearts – no time. Well, sometimes we rescues don’t have a lot of time! I know my time was almost up when my parents adopted me from the shelter and now I have ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time in the world!! Concatulations to your awesome Mummy – my Mom’s book was published at Lulu too! Does that make us TWINS now??????????????

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

    • Glad you like the poem. Time is very precious.

I suppose whee are sort of twins. Though I do wonder if you can be the twin of four piggies all at once?! 😉

What is your Mummy’s book about?

  8. Wow. Now that your Mummy is going to be famous, it is time to clean up your act, my friend. Imagine all of the fans knocking down your door to see her – you have the chance to gain some fans of your own if you play your cards right! Oh – and give her a congratulatory snuggle for me, would you?

    • Whee have passed on your congrats snuggle which Mummy loved. Though whee are trying to treat her in our normal disrespectful way so she doesn’t get a big head.

This means she cannot walk past the cage without talking to us. Nor can she watch a film without at least one of us squeaking for cuddles.

I think she loves us anyway!

      xxxx

      • Remind her that a big head is incredibly hard to hat, and narrow halls and doorways can become an issue as well. I’m sure you will all help her to remember her humble roots and remain her old engaging self! 🙂

  9. Congratulations to your mummy! Beautiful poem!

  10. Congratulations on your new book, Mummy! I’m excited to have a look at it! 😀

  11. What an incredible accomplishment, many congratulations!!

  12. I would love to buy the book but I just shed a tear reading the extract I don’t know I could read the whole book!
What a beautiful cause to highlight I’m so glad your mummy has taken the time to write this. Congratulations!
Perhaps I could think of someone that would like it as a gift 🙂

Squeak to us!!!
